The National Truth Commission Spaths: memories in construction

This article discusses some unfoldingsof the National Truth Commission in Brazil and its activities in the process of social memory recovery. The main objective of the commission is to build a historical truth about the authoritarian periods between 1948 and 1988, focusing moslty on the military dictatorship, period in whichmost cases of human rights violation took place. The paths of the commission has shown that it is necessary to work in partnership with institutions that areprofundamental rights and democracy in Brazil in the investigation of historical documentation and collecting testimonials
