Abstract

The Culture of Translation Early Modern England and France, 1500–1660, organized by Tania Demetriou and Rowan Tomlinson, features an introduction by the authors and ten chapters, each consisting of an article by a researcher.

The Culture of Translation Early Modern England and France, 1500–1660 explores the varied modalities and interventions related to translation in England and France, important hubs of literary and cultural production in the early Modern Age. Although marked by distinct literary and translational traditions, the two countries have always been bound by political, commercial, intellectual and religious ties.

Luciana Alves da Silva, Universidade Federal do Ceará, Fortaleza, Ceará

Possui graduação em Letras, com habilitação em Língua portuguesa e Língua inglesa e suas respectivas literaturas pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2016). Atuou como professora de língua inglesa na Escola de Aplicação Yolanda Queiroz. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Literatura Brasileira. Atualmente cursa Mestrado em Estudos da Tradução na Universidade Federal do Ceará e atua como professora substituta no curso de Letras- Inglês da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE)
