Traduction et Informatique - Le Retour de la Microsémantique
Abstract
O PROCESSAMENTO AUTOMÁTICO DE LÍNGUAS (PLN) é um domínio de aplicação complexo, trata-se de um dos vários ramos da Inteligência Artificial. Seu desenvolvimento foi entravado por lacunas da lingüística teórica, que deixa ainda muito a desejar, principalmente em semântica. Este artigo é destinado aos lingüistas, aos tradutores, aos especialistas em informática e a todos aqueles que praticam a traduçãode textos. Nossos objetivos aqui são três: (i) chamar a atenção para aintrodução da informática nas várias atividades ligadas ao estudodas línguas; (ii) salientar a importância das descrições lingüísticas com vistas à formalização e implementação dos dados analisados por sistemas informáticos operacionais; (iii) mostrar, enfim, o papel crucial dos estudos em microsemântica (ou semântica lexical) para o avanço das pesquisas em aplicações como a indexação elaborada e a Tradução Auxiliada por Computador (TAC).Downloads
