Abstract

The present interview with Suzanne Jill Levine was conducted in December 2018. In the interview, the awarded professor and translator of latin-american literature speaks about her prolific career as a literary translator that had criativity in a central role. The interview also addresses important issues to Translation Studies such as colaborative translation, self translation, the role of women translators, as well as general issues in the circulation of the latin-american literature and the writing of biographies.

Doutorado em Estudos da Tradução pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2011), com pesquisa na área de tradução comentada de textos literários. Bacharel em Letras Tradução Inglês (2004) pela Universidade de Brasília.
