Abstract

O Paraíso Reconquistado (Paradise Regained), poema épico de 2070 versos divididos em quatro livros composto por John Milton e publicado em 1671, pela primeira vez (até onde se pode constatar), ganha uma tradução em versos publicada em língua portuguesa. O poema, que é uma espécie de sequel do muito mais conhecido e traduzido Paraído Perdido (Paradise Lost), narra agora a retomada do paraíso (anteriormente perdido pelo pecado original de Adão e Eva) graças a Jesus, que refuta  uma série de três tentações de Satã no deserto.
