Abstract

This research is aimed at estimating the impact for a company from joining a network of organizations. The method consisted of a survey in 135 companies, with data analyzed with a predominantly quantitative lens. Findings suggest that variable satisfaction is directly related to other variables that empower the network to develop in a secure, relatively stable environment, thus enabling private goals to be achieved. Accordingly, evidence shows that networks are institutions set up to accomplish particular organizational purposes, lowering the environmental uncertainties, but not preventing agents from behaving individually.

Breno Augusto Diniz Pereira, UFSM - Santa Maria - RS

possui graduação em Curso de Administração pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1997), mestrado em Administração pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1999) e doutorado em Administração pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2005). Atualmente é professor Adjunto da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria e Coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Administração (PPGA/CCSH/UFSM) . Tem experiência na área de Administração, com ênfase em Estratégia Empresarial, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: estratégia empresarial, competitividade, redes de empresas, conflitos interorganizacionais, comportamento interorganizacional.

Jonas Cardona Venturini, UFSM - Santa Maria - RS

Possui graduação em Administração (2005) e Ciências Contábeis pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2007), faz Mestrado em Administração na UFSM, também é aluno da Especialização em Estatísitica e Modelagem Quantitativa na mesma instituição de ensino superior. No ano de 2008 obteve a aprovação no Doutorado em Administração na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Tem experiência na área de Administração, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Estratégia Empresarial, Relacionamentos Interorganizacionais, Redes de Empresas, Teoria das Organizações e Pesquisa em Administração.
