Resumo

Este artigo aborda a descrição de áudio (DA) do ponto de vista dos Estudos de Tradução. As duas primeiras partes são de interesse teórico: AD é definido como uma parte do texto audiovisual e como uma forma de tradução intersemiótica. Uma vez configurado, o artigo concentra-se no conceito de técnicas de tradução (Molina e Hurtado, 2002) e as adapta à descrição em áudio para fornecer aos acadêmicos e estudantes uma classificação funcional das técnicas de AD (ADT), que pode ser usada para fins descritivos. estudos de descrições em áudio, bem como em treinamento, e se baseia em uma classificação funcional das técnicas de tradução. O artigo termina com exemplos detalhados de um estudo comparativo de várias descrições em áudio do filme Slumdog Millionaire (2008) usando ADTs para ilustrar os benefícios da taxonomia estabelecida.
