De Kerry a Chiconcuac: Pedras no bolsos, de Marie Jones, e eXtras, de Sabina Berman

Este artigo enfoca a peça mexicana, eXtras, tradução e adaptação de Sabina Berman da peça irlandesa Stones in His Pockets, de Marie Jones. Linda Hutcheon, Thomas Leitch e outros teóricos dos estudos de adaptação informam a análise do processo usado por Berman para traduzir e glocalizar Stones in His Pockets no cenário mexicano, onde as forças combinadas de Hollywood e da globalização também devastaram a economia local e onde a história tragicômica de exploração e anonimização de Jones foi tão bem quanto na Irlanda.
