Márcia de São Thiago Rosa, CAPES/Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Márcia de São hiago Rosa is currently a doctoral candidate at the Graduate program in English: Linguistic and Literary Studies at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), and holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics- Discourse Analysis from the same program. Her doctoral research is grounded on the Vygotskyan sociocultural perspective on human learning, and focuses on issues related to English teaching pedagogy, more speciically, on the role of teachers’ authored narratives and dialogic mediation in the process of concept development.

Nadia Karina Ruhmke-Ramos, Colégio de Aplicação - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Nadia Karina Ruhmke Ramos holds a teaching position at Colégio de Aplicação – Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (CA-UFSC). She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Program in English: Linguistic and Literary studies at UFSC developing her research in the area of Teacher Education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics – English Phonetics and Phonology from the same program. Her main research interest lies on English as an additional/foreign language teaching pedagogy from the Vygotskian sociocultural perspective.
