Efeitos do treinamento perceptual na identificação e produção de oclusivas surdas em início de palavras por aprendizes argentinos de inglês

Resumo

Neste estudo, investigamos a eficácia do treinamento perceptual, administrado aos aprendizes argentinos, na percepção e produção de paradas sem palavras em inglês. 24 participantes foram divididos em 3 grupos: (i) Grupo 1, que participou de 3 sessões de treinamento; (Ii) Grupo 2, que, além de realizar as mesmas tarefas de treinamento, foi explicitamente informado sobre o item alvo; (Iii) Grupo 3 (controle). Todos os participantes participaram de um pré-teste, pós-teste e pós-teste atrasado. Em todas essas fases, eles participaram de uma tarefa de identificação consoante e participaram de um exercício de leitura. Nossos resultados mostram um aumento significativo de ambos os grupos experimentais na identificação. Quanto à produção, o Grupo 2 apresentou um aumento significativo em / p / e / t / após o treinamento. Esses resultados são indicativos da eficácia das tarefas de treinamento perceptivo em ajudar os alunos a se concentrarem no tempo de início da voz.

Ubiratã Kickhöfel Alves, UCPEL

Ubiratã Kickhöfel Alves holds a doctorate in Applied Linguistics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. He is currently a full-time professor at the Applied Linguistics Graduate Program of Linguistics at the Universidade Católica de Pelotas (UCPel) in Brazil. His main research interests are phonological theory, second language phonological acquisition and EFL pronunciation.
