Translinguagem na educação bilíngue: uma análise das práticas orais nas interações de estudantes do 5° ano

Com base na teoria da translinguagem, que considera a língua como um repertório holístico, este estudo investiga como as práticas translíngues (PT) de estudantes são manifestadas e com quais finalidades. Os participantes foram sete colegas de quinto ano de uma escola bilíngue no Brasil (Português Brasileiro e Inglês). Suas PT foram gravadas durante uma tarefa oral com base em um vídeo curto e sem palavras. Os dados foram analisados qualitativamente e codificados. As PT ocorreram espontaneamente e para fins específicos. As PT mais frequentes incluíram gestos, negociação de significado, gerenciamento de tarefas, criatividade lexical, translinguagem sintática, correção pelos colegas e negociação de formas. Os resultados sugerem que a pedagogia translíngue é válida para o desenvolvimento de línguas minoritárias porque permite que os alunos expressem livre e criticamente seus pensamentos em um espaço fluido e dinâmico.
