This is an interview with Colin Murphy, known for his political and documentary theatre, whose radio play #ANTIGONE addresses contemporary sociocultural issues, such as the growing European anti-immigration sentiment and the rise of authoritarian governments in the West, renewing the relevance of Greek tragedy. This interview contributes to the research area of English Language, Literature and Cultural Studies in the following ways: by offering content that promotes reflection on the contemporaneity of Greek tragedy and the process of adapting classics, by promoting Irish theatre and by promoting and valuing radio drama.
