A representação e os espaços de releitura das diferenças
Abstract
This text discusses the relations established between postcolonial discourses developed abroad, mainly in English-speaking countries, and the form and “use” such theoretical debates have taken within the Brazilian academy. It is possible to notice a clear resistance or difficulty in approximating theoretical postcolonial discussions, especially those focusing on previous English and Portuguese colonies in Africa, to Brazilian cultural and literary production. Our aim is to analyze the possibilities of establishing a dialogue between these discourses, examining common aspects and intrinsic differences within each specific context.Downloads
