Visibility regimes of the professional librarian practices

It discusses the image of the professional librarian conveyed in the various media and mass communication vehicles. It addresses the issue of social representation as a result of the relationships made when the professional doing that composes a caricatured and stereotyped image based on the profile of traditional, technicist doing, which permeated its action until the emergence of computerized mechanisms of generation, storage and dissemination of information, which is limited to a lady with glasses, tied hair, reserved attire, feared by users and without expectation of professional growth. It chooses as a research approach semiotics, especially sociosemiotics and highlights as a research corpus the images exposed in comics and films to compose the analysis on screen.
