Information Science, Bibliometrics, Impact factor, DatabaseAbstract
The objective of this research was to analyze the Brazilian scientific articles that approach the Impact Factor (IF), as a methodological procedure, object of study and published in journals indexed in the SciELO, Scopus and Web of Science databases. Brazilian articles with the term “fator de impacto”or "impact factor" were searched for from 2005 to 2015. The co-word analysis e was used to identify the correlations between keywords and the term IF. Thus, one can infer the area of knowledge and the subject treated, allowing the understanding of the way of approaching this indicator in Brazilian researches.
