Smart Campus, Social Impact, University Extension, Data visualizationAbstract
Objective: Analyze construct proposals within the Smart Campus literature and propose a data visualization model for social impact for university extension projects
Method: It uses a qualitative, exploratory approach and design science research to develop the model (artifact). To ensure the reproducibility of the artifact, the retrieval of the works used as a reference to propose the model was carried out based on a systematic literature review, while for the correction and validation of the model, interviews with experts are carried out using a semi-structured script.
Result: The research obtained the following results: (i) identification of constructs developed in Smart environments related to higher education institutions as outlines of improvements in internal processes; and (ii) the development of two visualization models, a general one applicable to other environments on a university campus and a specific one for extension projects.
Conclusions: The visualization model for extension projects has representational potential, demonstrating aspects, components and the operational structures and human resources necessary for its application in academic practice, implying in the improvement of extension management practices.
