The forms of adress in Spanish Pedagogical Grammar of the 18th and 19th centuries

This paper arms to describe the grammatization process of pronominal address terms in Spanish pedagogical grammar published between the 18th and 19th centuries. The time frame was chosen due to the changes observed in the production of pedagogical grammar and in the use of these linguistic forms in this period. The methodology adopted is of a qualitative and exploratory nature and it assumes as a procedure of analysis a documental research that includes the comparison of four grammars produced between the aforementioned centuries. It was found that only the grammar of the first half of the 18th century does not contain mention of the usted form. The two from the 19th century contemplate this form by categorizing it as a pronoun or equivalent. The use of the pronoun vos also appears with delimitations of its context of use in the manual analyzed for the second half of the 18th century, notes that are repeated in the two grammars of the 19th century, increasingly limited to more formal registers.
