Abstract

Objectives: This essay aims to present an investigation reflecting on urban heritage and street art at war risk, since the Ukraine invasion by Russian Federation.


State of the Art: The text analyses the main authors, recent debates and international bibliography pertaining to the contemporary Ukraine crisis, transversely on the deeply connected realms of history, economy, ecology, state policies, civil society politics, cultural heritage, public urban/street arts and cultural tourism.


Methodology: It is based on the analysis, interpretation and critique of several sources, e.g., recent writings, sites, images and videos developed by street art artivists and other cultural stakeholders.


Social impact: The ongoing Ukraine dramatic war constitutes a relevant benchmark for Europe and planetary future. Social and Human Scientists, together with other citizens, may contribute for a more profound democratization, within a global posture articulated with local realities.
