Abstract

Goal: verify the blockchain application barriers in the supply chain in Brazil. Design½Methodology½Approach: literature review on the subject which enabled an analysis of the main problems identified in the country for the implementation of this tool in Brazilian companies. Thus, a search was carried out on portals such as the Spell, Google Academics, with the descriptors “blockchain” and “supply chain”. Results: Blockchain analysis is mainly due to the justification that it is a current and recurring issue at the global level and needs more understanding so that it can actually work in Brazil. It was found that some of the most relevant impediments found in Brazil are the lack of specialization and knowledge of the subject, fiscal and documentation problems, in addition to the country's own culture towards a technology of this level. Given this context, it is necessary to understand and reduce the limitations that prevent the current Brazilian market from taking another step in a technological and global trajectory. Originality½Value: It is a topic of great relevance today due to the speed of technologies and management practices evolution, and little addressed in the context of logistics as identified in researched databases.
