Community radio stations are protected by Law 9.612/98 and are characterized by offering the community an open communication channel. Therefore, this article derives from master's research, which aims to discuss the forms of interaction present at the community radio station Oeste FM, as well as the technological changes based on the use of digital media in the broadcasting and reception of programming. To this end, the investigation was based on a case study, supported by bibliographic and documentary research, semi-structured interviews, a study of the usability and design of the homepage, and a study of the programming. The theoretical framework that allowed for the conceptualization and classification of the types of interaction came primarily from Kischinhevsky (2016), Primo and Cassol (1999), Primo (2007), and Thompson (1998). The results highlight the presence of digital media used to broadcast programming, attract audiences, and provide new forms of interaction, although a set of actions imply the practice of community communication at the station under investigation.
