A Morte no Jornal Nacional

This article aims to reflect the production of senses about the death in TV jornalism, focusing the Jornal Nacional's coverage on the flight accident 3054 Tam. We observed how JN approached issues about the tragedy, like the victim's relatives suffering, the witness reaction about the accident and possible explanations to the case. We consider the death as an journalistic event from Adriano Duarte Rodrigues's definition. As an object of study we took the TV newscast that was showed in July eighteenth, 2007 - the following day of the tragedy.Downloads
