Abstract

Professor Antônio Hohlfeldt, who chaired INTERCOM between 2008 and 2014, evaluates the conference's achievements in the area of communication, discusses the challenges facing journalism research and retakes the importance of history to understand the identity of the Portuguese-speaking press.
