Abstract
This paper proposes an analysis about the potential and challenges of the appropriation of media convergence in the practice of journalism, especially audiovisual webjournalism. Two major complimentary issues support this investigation. The first one of them refers to the value and effects of current technologies, discussing three major concepts: connection, convergence and interactivity. The second is the possibility to restate the value of journalism as a means to knowledge in contemporary days, highlighting the viability of productive experiences, more committed with quality than with the volume of transmitted and accessed information.Downloads
