Discurso, imagem e cultura: a representação do protocolo de Kyoto
Abstract
: This essay intends to present some aspects of the relation between discourse and image taking into consideration the analysis of their use to represent the Kyoto Protocol. Epistemological questions about the production and the effects of significance and meaning, related to the publicizing of ecological speech and of images related to it, suggest that there is a complex interaction between cultural imaginary shaped by the ideas of the modern project, which is base of the ecological discourse, and the seducement of the photographic image that represents it. This interaction create paradoxes in communicative negotiations, which we defend as a disconnection between discourse and image due to the distinctive operation inherent to the specificities of the language-discourse relations on one side and to the image-code relations on the other.Downloads
