Abstract

This essay searches for theoretical and historical clues that help to organize thoughts on journalism as a construction of meaning by focusing on two branches: the social construction of reality and the perception of journalism as storytelling. The intertwining of these two branches allows journalism to be thought as an exercise to understand the world.
