Abstract

The article aims to present research that addresses the clashes over the formation of teachers in physical education during the period 1987-2007, the articulated area studies work and education. We analyzed the debates about teacher in Physical Education and systematize the contributions to the construction of an alternative proposal for training. We seek to adopt historical materialism as a theoretical and methodological procedures used were document analysis and literature search.
