RESEARCH GROUPS: limits and possibilities in construction of new conditions for the production of knowledge

Abstract

The groups of research emerge as a new way of strengthening the institutional conditionsof production of scientific knowledge. The various external demands, coming fromdevelopment agencies and the tasks and activities assigned to different research groupshave generated diverse forms of organization and have motivated the construction ofmultiple experiences. In order to show the limits and possibilities of the groups of researchthe rocking of an experience is presented that, as one of the significant cases, disclosesto the difficulties and the challenges in the search of better conditions for the productionof the scientific research in Brazil and, particularly, in the area of the education.
