Perspectives over the bodies and the construction of “men” and “women” in school

Abstract

This study aims to raise some issues related to the construction of men and women in schools and how the body becomes a site of insertion and production of speech, and language brands. Questionnaires were administered to students, teachers and administrators of public schools in Goiania articulating the understandings about the behavior of these men and women. The data showed that educators offer little reflection on the historical, social and political bodies which leads to reproduction of the current gender differences by education bodies and ways of living sexuality.
