Writing Centers can be very helpful in developing our writing skills, especially when one understands the notion that writing is a process and when one works towards the development of strategies which allow us to put this notion into practice. What follows is a report of my experience at the Writing Center of the University of. Southern California, in Los Angeles. I try to address mainly the following questions: What is a Writing Center? How does it work? What does it consist of? How is it organized? What exactly does it do? What kind of writing problems can it help you solve? Who can benefit from it?
