Abstract

Since the last twenty years, young’s school-to-work transition appears to be, in Europe, one of the most important social problems at the heart of political debates. The different countries are setting up measures to facilitate the employment access on the labor market for young people coming from the educational system. In most researches done in this field, emphasis is placed on comparison with characteristics of the chosen education (in term of level, diploma or specialty) to explain school-towork transition. However, attention is not enough focused on the different types of organization of the labor market for young people. The labor market segmentations are accentuated according to the fields of work as they show various forms towards young people mployment, valorization of school degrees, professional certifications or attainment of competencies.
