La autora subraya en este artículo dos aspectos primordiales en la educación: el concepto de' aprendizaje geográfico a través de conceptos, Sus reflexiones, fundamentadas especialmente enlosprincipiospiagetianos sugierenunaensenanzade geografia a través de la formación de conceptos geográficos como una alternativa que se contrapone a la ensenanza factual de la disciplina que sólo conduce a la mera memorizadón de las informaciones geográficas Para tal establece una relación entre las etapas de desarollo concebidos por Piaget y la formación de conceptos geográficos por parte deI alumno, tomando en consideración el aprendizaje anterior deI nino, su nivel de motivación, su habilidad mental y su medio social como presupuestos imprescindibles en el desarollo de las actividades didácticas en sola de dase.
