Solo el nuevo perfume de una vieja ideología

This article deals with three basic aspects: 1. The analysis of the Nietzschean and Heideggerian philosophical roots of what we are naming “the new perfume of an old ideology”. Such ideology has been building its consensual strength upon the constitution of an imaginary that fancies society with illusions through which uncertainty, bad luck, violence and inequality are presented as the newest and absolute forms of freedom; 2. The analysis, based on Adorno’s Critical Theory, of how the hegemony of the empty word help to promote a political jargon designed to instill public resignation to the consensual routine; 3. The discussion on how contemporary and relevant authors play a role in the making of this consensus, either the organic intellectuals of the hegemonic culture, or the “pragmatists” and “deconstructionists”.
