The use of technologies in mathematics teaching and continuing teacher training: a study in the city of Governador Valadares

This study addresses the mapping and investigation of teacher training in relation to the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies among mathematics teachers in the municipal network of Governador Valadares - MG. Using an online questionnaire, various aspects were explored, including teachers' experiences with Digital Information and Communication Technologies, their level of instruction, the availability of adequate training for using these technologies, as well as their familiarity and proficiency with tools designed for teaching mathematics, among others. The identified limitations included the lack of equipment, lack of student interest, and deficiencies in school infrastructure. The study also emphasized the need to enhance teacher training for a more effective implementation of digital tools.
