This paper examines the thesis that the judicial process aims to find the right decision, finding the truth of the facts and the true interpretation of law. This thesis is deconstructed through references to Brazilian law and to philosophical studies on truth and justice. Our thesis is that the judicial process aims to resolve social conflicts in a civilized way, on the basis of previously establishedrules.Downloads
