Abstract

The present article presents scientific considerations on intellectual property which may be used by intercontinental negotiators of the Mercosur, with the aim of accomplishing better results in the complex negotiation process whose result will be the first Free Trade Zone between two customs unions in an intercontinental scale. In this sense, overcoming eventual obstacles between these two regional blocks will offer the world a true evidence of the validity of an open regionalism.
