The aim of this paper is to render the current paradigm regarding human rights both excessively reduced and narrow. The same paradigm applies within educational policies concerning citizenship and human rights. A complex and relational perspective is proposed as an attempt to offer sound explanations of the abyss detected between theory and practice in the human rights area. Finally, a multicultural and educational approach is employed as a tool to describe human diversity and its different versions of dignity.Downloads
