Abstract: In this paper we will discuss about a case of autotranslation by the Argentinian writer Manuel Puig who elaboreteded himself the translation to Spanish of his novel Sangue de amor correspondido which was written in Portuguese. We will talk about the concepts of “retextualização”, model reader and model author, as well as ideal reader and ideal author. We will relate such concepts to the autotranslation for then relate them to the mentioned case of Puig, analyzing some examples of this in his novel.Downloads
