Abstract

This paper analyzes the micro structural information program of monolingual and school dictionaries in Portuguese. The analysis will show that these dictionaries present a large number of non relevant information for the dictionary users and do not contribute to a better understanding of their mother tongue (non-discriminating information).

Prof. Visitante FURG (RS), UESC (BA), Prof. Adjunto Língua e Lit. Espanhola UFRGS (RS). Suas áreas de Pesquisa são a Lexicografia e a Lingüística hispânica.
