Open Access Policy
The journal Alexandria adheres to the DOAJ’s definition of open access, providing public access to all of its content, in line with the principle that making research freely available fosters a greater global exchange of knowledge. It therefore follows the diamond model of the Open Access movement.
It publishes all content free of charge, with no submission, publication, or access fees. Published manuscripts are not subject to any embargo period, and users are not required to register to read the content.
Authors grant exclusive rights of first publication to Alexandria, with the work simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 International License.
Authors are authorized to enter into separate additional agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the version of the work published in this journal (for example, publication in an institutional repository, on a personal website, translation publication, or as a book chapter), provided that authorship and initial publication in this journal are acknowledged.
This license gives any user the right to:
Share – copy, download, print, or redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Adapt – remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercial.
According to the following terms:
Attribution – You must give appropriate credit (cite and reference), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You must do so under any reasonable circumstances, but in no way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
No additional restrictions – You cannot apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license allows.
The editorial process is managed through the Open Journal System software, an open-source system developed by the Public Knowledge Project. The use of this system enhances transparency, allows for information tracking, and improves the academic and public quality of the research.
