O movimento corporal na aprendizagem de vocabulário em L2/LE em ambientes imersivos

Resumo

O presente trabalho objetiva discutir o papel do movimento corporal no aprendizado de L2/LE, em particular do vocabulário, em ambientes imersivos à luz da teoria da Cognição Corporificada. Para alcançar tal objetivo, pesquisamos estudos na área da Linguística Aplicada que tratam do ensino e aprendizagem de vocabulário em LE em ambientes imersivos, realidade virtual e aumentada, abarcando dissertações, teses e artigos entre 2014 e 2020. Parte-se do pressuposto de que a cognição emerge da interdependência entre corpo, mente e ambiente, e que tal relação torna-se relevante para a compreensão dos efeitos das ações corporais na aprendizagem. Os resultados apontam que o movimento corporal, em ambientes imersivos, pode potencializar o aprendizado de vocabulário em L2/LE, uma vez que a experiência imersiva multimodal possibilita que o aprendiz explore com o seu corpo, em diferentes níveis, o mundo virtual de forma dinâmica, interativa, autônoma e com maior engajamento e controle sobre a aprendizagem. As pesquisas também destacam resultados positivos no aprendizado de vocabulário em ambientes imersivos a curto e a longo prazo, o que indica que a abordagem corporificada pode favorecer a aprendizagem e a retenção do vocabulário na memória.
