giana Targanski Steffen, currently a doctoral candidate at the Graduate Program in English: linguistic and literary Studies at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), holds a Master’s degree in English language and literature from the same program. She has experience in teaching English to all levels in regular schools and private institutions. her main research interests are the new genres of the internet, Critical discourse analysis, Systemic Functional linguistics and their implications to language teaching.
