Resumo

Knowledge Acquisition: A Hidden Element in the Writing Process While much progress has occurred in recent years to make composition an accepted academic discipline, it is still too often described in terms of patterns and processes, steps and strategies. Yet they perpetuate the notion that composition is a skill rather than a discipline, and they thus work to keep writing instruction at the periphery of the curriculum.
