Abstract

Objective: To map the scientific production on creativity by identifying prominent authors, countries, and journals, as well as revealing trends and gaps in knowledge to propose future research directions. Design | Methodology | Approach: A bibliometric and integrative review was conducted using the Scopus, Web of Science, and APA PsycNET databases. The research encompassed the analysis of 13,037 scientific articles for the quantitative phase of the bibliometric review, and the 10 most cited works on the subject were identified. Results: The results indicate an exponential increase in the volume of publications on creativity, with an emerging network of international co-production, and an evolution in research that has begun to incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective on the study of the phenomenon. The publications highlight creativity as a prerequisite for innovation in organizational contexts and emphasize that the interaction between individuals and their environment is crucial for the manifestation of creativity in organizations. Originality | Value: The originality lies in the proposal to integrate governance and management practices that strengthen trust and collaboration among teams, leadership, and the organization, suggesting practical pathways for the development and management of creativity.
