Abstract

This text is a synthesis from thesisof doctorate in History “The institutionalizationof the movement religiousfrom the evangelicals surfers ofFlorianópolis (1982-2006)” and, hasthe purpose of introducing the suit ofinstitutionalization of this movementand the expansion of the neopentecostalismin the city. The option“theoretical and methodological” wasfor Oral History and the interviews itwas identified that (a) the movementappeared in the half sporty of surfthrough the “religious experience” ofits founder; (b) with it the too muchleaderships had joined other athletesforming; (c) the drugs, the existencialemptiness had been preponderant motivations in the process of religiousconversion; (d) the movementpresented two distinct phases and (e)always counted arrives in port on it ofa evangelical church.
