This article aims to analyze, in the context of changes in production processes, the manner in which the notion of competence has assumed the centrality of education as a whole and even in physical education as a constituent, while the knowledge remains in the background. To this end, we attempted to apprehend how the “Pedagogy of the Skills”, while guiding the design concept of human development from the perspective of contemporary capital, through various mediations - Guidelines UNESCO, PCN, Curriculum Proposal of the State of Minas Gerais - seeks to gain concreteness. As a counterpoint, it is advocated the critical-surpassing perspective.Downloads
