DOI:

The mainstream tendencies in qualitative approach in social researches expose the necessity to review the process of appropriation of this methodology and elucidate the range of its influence in the field of educational research. The text presents a retrospective of this subject and highlights the outlines that favored a change in the previous tendency of educational investigations, and seeks to understand the present qualitative research’s hegemony and the basis that sustain its practice. The central axis of the discussion is that the changes related to the methodological approaches are subordinated to the changes of paradigm in the scientific practice, and both of them are conditioned by the changes in the social field.Downloads
