Abstract

This study concerns to a topic of an earlier work: "Discourse gender, text type and expressiveness", in which Iinvestigated devices of expression used by students in undergraduation couses of language. Assuming an interactive conception of language, I chose the topic gender and typi-stylesof projection' as the first criterian inthe analysis of the corpus, pointingout the conflicting conceptions between schoolbooks and academic texts. In order to increase thediscussion on gender/type relations, Iinclude reflections on this matter basedupon Bakhtin and other authors,calling attention to the Portuguese language teaching and learning.
