Language in children and adolescent literature books must
be full of life, that is, innovating, instigating and impressing. It must also be linguistically correct and adequate, as this is important to lhe age under consideration. Ali potencial of the Portuguese language. taken thoroughly, must be used without fear, prejudice ar limitations.It is the reader's role to experience his/her mother language, establishing with it an immediate empathy. This wiIJ lead him/her to a verbal game in which the word - raison d'{}fre and main aim - will be dealt in its phonic, morphosyntatic, texical and semantical possibilities to the concretization of the text as a final product.
