Abstract

This paper discusses a training program for literacy teachers and other participants in the early grades of a public elementary school in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina State, Brazil. It focuses on the pedagogic and linguistic training needed by literacy teachers in the schools.

Graduado em Letras pela UFSC (1979). Mestre em Lingüística (2000) e Doutor em Lingüística Aplicada (2007) pela UFSC. Professor lotado na Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Regional de Florianópolis (SDR-FPOLIS).
