This paper discusses an insurgent practice in colonial-slave Brazil, constituted in a (re) existence language that became humanity, intangible cultural heritage, being released worldwide. It is capoeira, a diasporic legacy whose ancestry evokes different African matrices. It enquires if cultural practices, namely those that emerged as resistance to the colonial system, such as capoeira, would empower those (re) existences, by contributing to the human and academic formation, in a decolonial and inclusive view. It also aims to point out some formative aspects of this cultural good in the educational field, considering epistemic and ethnic-racial problematizations, developed according to the researches of authors such as Fanon, Hall, Sousa Santos, Quijano, Dussel, Mignolo, among others. It also uses pieces of (self) biographical narratives, aiming to express the notions of abyssal thinking, modernity, eurocentrism, and coloniality, in the field of experience. It concludes that capoeira evokes other aspects of living, being, and saying in colonial diversity, driving a widening and tensioning of social, cultural, and epistemic boundaries. The "other" is present, occupying times/spaces and (re) inventing languages, cultures, communities, and educational processes, based on ancestral Afro-diasporic and pluriversal values.
